Magatagan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI and returned to his hometown of San Antonio to pursue his career in the culinary arts. From his position as Executive Chef at the Plaza San Antonio Hotel, Magatagan first joined the The RK Group, LLC in 2000 as Executive Chef, and later became the Director of Operations at the Facility. In 2008 he was appointed to his current position as General Manager, drawing upon his diverse tenure and in-depth familiarity with the Facility to fully address a vast range of convention groups’ needs.

A student of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park and former hotel, resort and country club executive chef, Chef Gagliardi’s resume includes top positions such as: Executive Chef at Bellagio Resort Hotel and Casino Las Vegas; pre-opening consultant and Executive Chef at The Bonnington Hotel in Dubai; and the dual role as Executive Chef/Food and Beverage Director at The Chelsea, Atlantic City. He has served as the Executive Chef for The RK Group, LLC at the Facility since 2013, bringing to his role a wealth of hospitality catering and culinary experience and strong leadership skills.

As longtime Director of Sales and Catering at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Brenda Teichroeb brings over 20 years’ experience to this demanding position, overseeing the entire sales force to ensure the team meets and exceeds all client expectations for every event. Teichroeb serves as the primary customer service contact, maintaining the highest standards of communication throughout each convention by defining specific goals and helping to create a positive atmosphere to encourage staff success at every level. She is responsible for comprehensive convention oversight from the pre-planning stages until the successful culmination of every event Additionally, Teichroeb participates in sales calls, site visits, and relationship-building between the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau and RKIII.

Fueled by passion and a desire for success, Kate completed a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from the University of North Texas. Her career blossomed as she quickly advanced in various management positions with luxury hotels in Chicago, Seattle and Dallas. Since 2010, she has diligently delivered seamless events for every customer, every time at The RK Culinary Group in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. She consistently impresses her clients with her service and positive attitude.

With nearly twenty five years of experience in the hospitality and conference planning industry, Misty provides her clients with creative solutions, friendly advice and practical expertise. Her expansive career history includes working for a third-party event management company, general service contractor, Texas association, and several luxury hotels. Her experience in all of these areas of the industry bring a well-rounded approach to conference planning and to her clients alike.

Rachel Moore is the Design Center Coordinator for the RK Culinary Group and is also a Certified Tourism Ambassador for the City of San Antonio. After graduating from Texas A&M University, Rachel joined the RK Family with Rosemary's Catering in Austin and gained valuable experience in event management and operations before moving to her current role in San Antonio. Now serving as the Design Center Coordinator, she can help source specialty linen and décor, entertainment, and offer destination management services. Rachel's love for history makes her a perfect fit for the San Antonio community, where she is involved as a World Heritage Site Ambassador.

Nancy Mendez is a Junior Account Executive for the RK Culinary Group in which she joined the team in September of 2018.  Nancy graduated from the University of Texas - San Antonio in May 2015 with a Bachelors in Business Administration majoring in Sport, Event, and Tourism Management.  In addition to servicing smaller accounts, she also supports and assists the Associate Director of Sales.
